A smart, young gentleman sent me these two images today. They made me smile, then giggle, then want them. I don't think they're creepy and although it may kill me, I'll spare you from the 100+ puns.
T: We Are All Connected print by Jen Renninger, B: Visionary print by Shannon Rankin
You: looking for inexpensive print and wanting to support independent artists. Me: "an on-line store bringing together a community of artitsts" wearing a green e-cardigan on the train last Wednesday. Did we have a moment?
Prints (and loads of other great stuff) available at Little Paper Planes. The past couple of years they've seemed to carry a lot of thin-line weight illustration. A little place I go when I'm looking for something new. It's been nice to see them grow.
Polaroids from Sean Tubridy. Depicting what looks to be the last of the 500 Affonsos riding off into the sunset. The sun sets in the west. .. hmm. . . maybe he'll get lost and find himself on an SF doorstep. :)
And in case my bookmarks folder wasn't already handsomely full. . . I naturally decide to go through all the runner ups just to fatten her up for 2010. (runners up?) Please note, Fullington, that your blog crush Pink Loves Brown was a finalist. Huzzah! Please try not to note that Ikea Hacker trotted away with "Best Home Tech Blog". I want to like it I really do. I think it's all the poorly lit photos. I'm such a jerk. Ogle the winners here.
Great color palate and lighting. Takes hand drawn and animal-theme to a whole new level. Fits well with the tone of this "new" album released March of last year. Can I also add that, sweet jesus Writer's Block was a fantastic album?! I can.
Artist (and fastastic shop owner) Lisa Congdon is doing something cool for el ano nuevo. Her new blog A Collection a Day will be an addition to my weekly reads. Why do I like 365day projects? I'll have to look into that -- someone get me a magnifying glass.
